Christian Therapy

You know you need help, but who can you trust?

So many people just dismiss your faith or view it as an unimportant side-note to your life. They might even tell you that once you forget about all of that “religious stuff” your problems will be solved. On the other hand, those who do share your faith just don’t seem to get it either.

You’ve been told to “pray about it” more times than you can count and often get the sense that there is something wrong with you if you admit to having struggles in life. You have tried to grit your teeth and bear it to keep up with the image that all is well, but you just can’t do it anymore.

You need someone who understands how important your faith really is to you and also sees your struggle. Someone who will not see your faith as something that needs to be fixed about you, but instead will see it for the asset that it is. You are looking for a solution that works with your faith, not one that requires you to forget all that you believe in or ignore what is really going on.

As a person of faith myself, I understand.

I work with people of all spiritual backgrounds and approach mental health healing in a way that embraces faith. If you want your religion, faith, beliefs, or spiritual practice to be a part of your therapy journey you are more than welcome to do so with me.

In my office, it is ok to talk about what you believe and why that is important to you. It is not my aim to change anything about your beliefs - my hope is to help you come to a place where your life is in a healthy balance with the beliefs and values you hold.

Specialized Training

Masters in Marital and Family Therapy, Western Seminary

Receiving my M.A. at a Christian institution gave me thorough training in the integration of Christianity & mental health care. While religion and psychology are often thought to be incompatible, my unique background provides for a therapy approach that includes both.

Bachelors of Arts in Bible & Theology

Receiving my undergraduate degree through William Jessup University gave me a deeper understanding of the nuances of my own faith and a greater appreciation for all of the varying views on spiritual practices and beliefs. Having a strong foundation in my spirituality allows me to walk alongside others no matter where they find themselves on their journey.

Christian Counseling Center San Jose: pre-licensed training

Working at the San Jose Christian Counseling Center allowed me the experience of putting my training as a Christian therapist into practice. Not only did I have the opportunity to work with clients in a way that honored their faith, I was also supported by other therapists and staff seeking to do the same.

Let your faith be part of your healing.
